National Carbon Capture Center

ENERCON performed the engineering and design for the Balance of Plant Electric Heat Tracing at the National Carbon Capture Center (NCCC) located in Wilsonville, AL. Over 300 heat trace isometric drawings were generated and issued on the project. In addition to the pipe lines, tanks were also heat traced. The heat trace system was designed to protect the piping and equipment from freezing and process conditions required additional heating for some lines.
The project had an extremely aggressive schedule, with a bill of material order for the Heat Trace Control Panels due 12 calendar days after notice of award. The entire heat trace system architecture had to be determined and each heat trace circuit was located so that an accurate Heat Trace Control Panel bill of materials could be produced.
The Heat Trace Control System was configured by ENERCON personnel. Also, checkout and startup support of the heat trace system was provided.
