General Mills, Inc. Frozen Food Plant

ENERCON's Fossil and Industrial engineers played a key role by participating in the completion of a planned outage at the General Mills Inc, Wellston, Ohio, frozen food plant. The ENERCON team provided detailed engineering, design and shutdown support service for modification to the plant refrigeration control system.

ENERCON provided Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) programming and graphics support, utilizing RSLogix 5000 and WonderWare software platform. Work included the PLC programming for the addition of the new condensers to complement the existing refrigeration system, replacing the existing refrigeration valve trains on the No. 1 & No. 2 freezers and the addition of two HVAC units to serve the two existing process areas at the facility. New WonderWare screens were developed and installed for the plant Human-Machine Interface (HMI) system by the ENERCON engineering team.

Field installation, check-out and start-up support was provided during the 5 day schedule Thanksgiving outage.
